Behind the Mind
Kyle Katsos was born in the foothills of Tava Mountain (aka Pike’s Peak). Raised as a curious steward of the natural world, he served on the front lines of the original green industry (nursery and landscape) and earned a Permaculture Design Certificate, before co-founding the environmental education non-profit called SEE (The Sustainable Educational Experience) and opening an ecological design practice called Emerge LLC where he weaves tapestries of plant driven design, human patterns, and environmental insight to masterfully craft resilient natural environments around through Colorado and beyond.
Kyle’s first ventured into landscape design in Boulder, CO in 2009. Enraged by an apparent lack of ethics in the field of Business Finance (his then college major), he founded Greener Avenues and began serving up conscientious property maintenance with all-natural, human powered services. The adjacent picture is of the first landscape he ever designed and triumphantly returned to 11 years after installation.
